1920's Hair and Make-up

Dorothy Mackaill

Make-up in this era was heavy, dark eyes (typically kohl rimmed), full lashes, and rouge (cupids bow was popular to give that plump pouty look), Eyebrows were thin and curved downward toward the temple. Short hairstyles such as the bob cut, Eton Crop/shingle and the Marcel Wave also known as the finger wave came into vogue. Women typically wore their hair short to fit under the cloche hats they wore.

A few of the ladies from the roaring twenties were Clara Bow, Joan Crawford, Bebe Daniels and Louise Brooks.
Remember when putting your outfit together that you can't just put the clothes on, you always have to get the hair, make-up and accessories right to complete the look otherwise the look will look effortless. So have fun and add a modern twist to your vintage outfit but most importantly be creative!
